Hemoglobin powder – a valuable resource for aquafeed
EAPA has produced a short leaflet detailing the benefits of hemoglobin powder as a component of aquafeed. In Europe, aquaculture continues to grow in importance as a source of protein but sourcing feed is a challenge. Hemoglobin powder can replace a proportion of the fishmeal in aquafeed with no loss in performance. Its high protein content, good digestibility and efficient feed conversion are all important features for aquaculture producers.
